The English call them 'Buggies', the Greeks call them 'Amaxia' and to be honest that's a far more elegant name for the horse drawn carriages that ply the seafront in Spetses town each summer.

I've seen more than one guide book that claims that 'we all use them to get about'.... we don't! Hondas are far more popular. But they do make an attractive and gentile way to travel on occasion.

On a personal note. This view shows Tassos arriving at the town hall with Richard and Debbie on their wedding day in 2002. Tragically they both died, far too young, just a few years later in London. But they loved Spetses and spent a lot of time here. I'll leave this picture up to keep them 'on the island' so to speak.
